what else can i use if i don’t have the “quilled creations” pencil that you used?
November 22nd, 2009 at 7:41 pm
I don’t know, maybe you can just do a tool from wood, you know, just a tooth stick for exemple, that you cut in half in one end, then make the other end bigger so that you can hold it easily.. I’ve never tried..
But i’m sure that even in Romania, you can find things like that in art&craft shops…

You can use any kind of paper, if it’s not too thick or not too thin… you can try to roll one stripe of it, to see how well it rolls out after you let it go.. to get an idea, what it would look like..
You can definitely try to put some vernish on it, it would make it harder and stronger, but I have never tried!

Sure, you should definitely try it out!
Good work! Have fun!

Well, actually, they mesure about 8, 10, 12 cm of deameter, so they might be a bit big, but if you use fewer pieces, they will be much smaller it’s up to you!
When I start making them, I just can not stop adding more and more “layers”..;))
